Colin Moro, who works with the hitting aspect of baseball, is a Calgary native that played his first two professional seasons for the Calgary Vipers, winning the Golden Baseball League Rookie of the Year in 2008, in his first year ever playing pro baseball. Colin was an All‐Star in 2009 for the team that won the Golden Baseball League title that year hitting over .370 and that was good for second in all of Independent League hitters. In 2010, Colin played for the Victoria Seals and played right field for a team that came on late to almost squeak into the playoffs. The 2011 season saw Colin split time between the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League and the Lake County Fielders of the North American League.
Joe Sergent, a left handed pitcher, is a California native that just finished his 12th professional season playing and beginning his 3rd season coaching baseball in Calgary. He was drafted in 1999 by the Florida Marlins in the 21st round and played 5 seasons for them. He also played for the Fargo Moorhead Redhawks for 3 years before joining Colin and the Calgary Vipers in 2008. From 2008‐2010, the GBL All‐Star was the ace of the staff that won the 2009 GBL title and was 6‐0 in playoffs during his time here. In late 2010, Joe joined up once again with Colin in Victoria to finish his 11th season on the mound. In his career Joe has a regular season record of 64‐33 with a 3.87 ERA in over 800 professional innings.
