Welcome

The BRLL Executive has been extremely busy, in the off season, preparing for the 2011 season.  Having taken time to reflect on the successes of 2010, we have now turned our attention to not only building on those successes, but also in developing new ideas and strategies to make 2011 an even greater year for our league and our members.

For 2011 we are forunate to have many of our seasoned and dedicated Board Members return to serve another year as well we have been blessed with many new faces.  The atmosphere around our meetings to date can only be described as nothing less than enthusiastic and exciting.

While still months away, the 2011 season is already shaping up to be an exciting year with the following being new this year:

New website -  The new website will be our most significant change and the benefits are numerous.  Communication of information to our members and reduced administration are the two main benefits.  Our new website will allow us to create and post team and umpire schedules, manage the registration process, provide up-to-date news and clinic information.  Our future plans include a learning portal to assist our coaches and the ability to solicit feedback on the league, coaches and umpires to ensure we continue to deliver the quality our members have come to expect.

Online Registration - Also new for 2011 is the ability to register for both the season and player clinics from anywhere you access the internet.  This option provides great flexibility, significantly reduces the need to manually enter and re-enter information and allows our members the option to pay their fees using credit cards.

Baseball Pants - This year baseball pants will be included as part of your registration fee for all divisions (excluding Coach Pitch).  At the end of the season, they are yours to keep.  You will now only be required to return the jersey and belt.

Volunteers are our lifeline and we would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for those who volunteered, both on and off the field, during the 2010 season.  We would also like to welcome those who have already offered up their services for the coming year.  It is the selflessness of those individuals who give up their personal time that make our Baseball Program successful.  If you have not already done so, we ask that you please consider putting your name forward for one of the many positions required to run our league and our teams.  A list of available opportunites has been included on our registration form.

We are all very excited about the upcoming season and we look forward to spring arriving so our children can take the field to once again experience two of the greatest words in the English language: .... PLAY BALL!!!!!!
